7/9/25 Update
As the VDOMA Board has shared previously, there is a group of neighbors who are actively working to find a way to get some of our roads paved. Attached is information they have asked the board to share with you. We have agreed to send this out in lieu of providing your contact information.
As explained in the attached document, the group is looking to collect pledges from members willing to contribute to the cost of paving. This is NOT a VDOMA Board request. If you have any questions, or are interested in contributing to paving please reach out directly to Doug or Eric Rolland. Their contact details are in the document.
If you are opposed to paving regardless of who is paying, we strongly urge you to convey that to Doug and Eric as well. They need to hear that there may not be enough interest to proceed.
It remains the Board's position that:

It remains the Board's position that:
- As stated after the vote last year, we consider the paving initiative closed. We would not consider reopening this issue unless the group has the money in place to pay for the paving and has a firm bid from a vetted paving contractor.
- Should paving be done, it needs to be all roads, not just Vista Del Oro.
- If the criteria noted in item 1 is met, the VDOMA Board will hold a members meeting to discuss and will bring the matter to a vote. As per the bylaws, a 2/3 yes vote would be required to move forward.
4/19/25 Community update:
The VDOMA Board has been in several discussions with a team interested in privately financing road improvements within our community. To date the Board has not received a formal written proposal detailing a specific scope of work with specifications regarding the project and/or materials.
If the Board does receive a detailed proposal it will be vetted and shared with the community at an appropriate time. Should anyone have questions or concerns please submit them directly at: [email protected] or on the website Contact Us page

The question continues to come up about having the County take over our roads, Yavapai County does have a process. However, based on their guidelines, we would still be responsible for the costs to maintain the roads even if they took over the ownership.
